How does MTI work?

With the help of MTI functions, application programs are embedded into an execution environment. For the application programme it is thereby insignificant, if it runs on 5250 dialog, a webserver job or on batch. MTI takes care of the appropriate output unit and the right format.

If an MTI application is carried out in a webserver jobm, the data is formatted and displayed as HTML code. If it is run on batch, a list will be printed. The presentation of the list in turn depends on the selected printer.

As a matter of course the target unit and target format can also be defined manually.
